Instructions for carrying lithium batteries on airplanes:
With the use of airplanes as an important choice for people's transportation, the safety of air travel becomes very important. When people travel by aircraft, they inevitably carry digital cameras, mobile phones, cameras, laptops, tablets, and other devices with built-in lithium batteries. Regarding carrying these devices containing lithium batteries, there are some precautions that are listed for reference:
Before boarding, please confirm the specifications marked on the lithium battery. Lithium battery specifications are calculated based on rated energy (WH). If the rated energy is not marked, please calculate it using the following formula: rated energy (WH)=battery capacity (Ah) X nominal voltage (V)
2. Please note that backup batteries are not allowed to be placed in checked luggage. Please carry it with you in your hand luggage.
Lithium batteries with a capacity not exceeding 100Wh do not need to be declared. Cameras, computers, and other equipment can be shipped. But a certain amount of backup batteries can only be carried in a portable suitcase.
4. If the specification of the lithium battery in the equipment is greater than 100Wh but less than 160Wh, it should be declared to the airline and approved by the airline before being carried on board. This specification of lithium battery or backup lithium battery cannot exceed 2 pieces.
5. It is prohibited to check in or carry lithium batteries or backup lithium batteries exceeding 160Wh in hand luggage. If carrying lithium batteries exceeding 160Wh or exceeding self use needs, please declare and consult with the airline for shipping.
6. During the flight, please turn off the power of the lithium battery device you are carrying and be careful to prevent accidental startup of the device. And measures such as separate packaging should be taken to protect the electrodes of individual backup batteries. Prevent self ignition or explosion caused by friction, collision, etc.
